Veterans’ Plaza

Design inspiration was gained from looking at the rich cultural and natural history of the central interior region. Veteran’s Plaza will serve as a place of community celebration and remembrance. An existing war memorial will be replaced by a new memorial. The design incorporates paved, lawn and planted areas to create a memorable sequence of spaces and experiences in the plaza suitable for public gatherings and individual enjoyment. The landscape is ornamental in character but features a palette of plant material that is native, drought tolerant and low maintenance. Construction in 2009.
